An official timeline is now in place.
SGTM received the AMMC visa No. VI/EM/037/2025 on November 17, 2025, for its stock market introduction. The subscription period is scheduled from December 1 to December 8, 2025, at 3:30 PM (GMT+1). The introduction price has been set at 380 dirhams for type II orders and 420 dirhams for types III and IV. This listing concerns the sale of 20% of the group’s capital, amounting to a maximum of 5.04 billion dirhams.
A profile with strong national and continental ties.
Founded in 1972, SGTM is a 100% Moroccan independent group active in construction and strategic infrastructure. With over 21,000 employees by the end of 2024 and a fleet of 2,500 vehicles, the group has completed more than 1,000 landmark projects in transport, energy, water, health, industry, and education. SGTM also operates in six other African countries, including Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Burkina Faso, aligning with a continental strategy.
Objectives of the stock market introduction.
The group explains that this operation aims for several objectives: to institutionalize the company, open its capital to new partners, enhance transparency and performance, increase its reputation and African influence, and facilitate access to financial markets to support long-term growth. It will also allow employees to participate in the company's development and share in its performance outcomes.
A favorable sectoral dynamic.
The construction sector in Morocco benefits from a supportive context: major public infrastructure projects, economic recovery, and a strong continental presence of Moroccan companies. SGTM's stock market entry will strengthen the 'building and construction materials' segment on the Casablanca Stock Exchange and add depth to the related sector index.
Risks and challenges to anticipate.
As with any introduction, investors will need to monitor valuation, the order book, debt levels, and margin visibility. The construction sector remains sensitive to economic cycles, risks associated with the delivery of large projects, and cost management. Engaging new investors also requires enhanced governance and increased transparency.
What this means for the Moroccan market.
The SGTM operation is the third introduction this year on the Casablanca Stock Exchange. It reflects the increasing maturity of the Moroccan capital market, the expansion of the listed company portfolio, and the attractiveness of major national groups. It also serves as a signal to other local companies considering an equity offering.
